A team of 40 volunteers from Metropolitan Medical Center led by its hospital administrator and mission team leader Dr. Francisco Salvador and representatives from MMC- CAST went on a medical mission, relief goods distribution and psycho- social activity to different barangays in Capiz to somehow alleviate the victims of super typhoon Yolanda last November 19-22, 2013. Mayor Allan Selino and Dr. Annie Robles, City Health Officer coordinated with the team where they were stationed in the different baranggays in the coastal area and was able to serve 6,000 people. The team was the first group to give assistance in the area.
